Ruber Marani
graduates at the age of 17 with summa cum laude at the Mantua Conservatory in saxophone. At the same time he was studying violin with maestro Carlo Fabiano, graduating in 2002. He collaborates with the Symphonic Orchestra ‘Antonio Salieri’ of Brescia, the ‘Mantua Chamber Orchestra’ and ‘Camerata Franz Schubert’. As one of the founding members of the ‘Hector Berlioz Saxophone Quartet’, he appeared in several television shows, radio programs and CD recordings. His performances include many world premieres, amongst others the ‘Pythagoras Symphony’ by T. Fortmann.
In 1997, he won the International Chamber Music Competition ‘Premio Aqui Musica’ award, in 1998 the International Music Competition ‘Città di Pietra Ligure’ award and the first prize at the International Music Competition ‘Camillo Togni’.
